Most early paint failures come from weak prep, not from the colour coat.

Scraping, sanding, patching, caulking and priming so the finish coat bonds properly.

Before the painter arrives

  • Clear small items and wall hangings from rooms being painted if you can.
  • Keep children and pets away from ladders, wet paint and dust from prep.
  • If the home was built before 1978, ask for EPA RRP lead-safe certification before scraping or sanding.
